Can I buy property in Türkiye while living abroad?
Yes. With a notarised power of attorney you can complete the title deed transfer without travelling to Türkiye. The power of attorney can be issued at the Turkish consulate in your country of residence.
What are the requirements for citizenship by investment?
Purchase real estate worth at least USD 400,000 and place a three-year no-sale annotation on the title deed. A valuation report and a currency exchange certificate (DAB) are also required.
Can my foreign spouse get a residence permit in Türkiye?
Foreign nationals married to Turkish citizens can obtain a family residence permit, and foreigners who own property in Türkiye can apply for a short-term residence permit. Requirements may vary by provincial migration office.
How much are title deed fees?
The title deed fee is usually 4% of the sale price, shared between buyer and seller. Revolving fund, valuation report and notary/translation costs are calculated separately.
